Short version: we collect only what we need to answer your message or pack your box. This site has no checkout and no server-side database behind its forms — the contact and box-request forms build an email draft in your own mail app. Advertising and analytics cookies are used only if you accept them, and you can change that choice at any time.

2. Scope and plain-language summary
This policy explains what happens to information when you visit wildcombconfections.com, email us, or send a box request. It covers this website only; if you follow a link to another site, that site’s own policy applies.
- Browsing the site does not require an account, and we do not ask for payment details online.
- Messages you send through the contact form are turned into an email in your own mail client.
- Cookie categories you decline are not set, other than the essential record of your choice.
- We do not sell personal information, and we do not build advertising profiles ourselves.
3. What we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details — your name, email address and, if you include it, a phone number.
- Message content — the topic you choose, the text of your message, and any allergen or delivery notes.
- Box requests — the flavors you select in the box builder, the estimated total shown to you, and any gift-message or quantity notes.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider receives standard technical data when a page is requested, such as your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring page and the time of the request. This data is used to serve the site, keep it secure and understand aggregate traffic. If you accept analytics or advertising cookies, the relevant providers also receive identifiers and event data as described in section 5.
What we do not collect
- We do not process card payments on this site, so no card numbers are collected here.
- We do not ask for government identification, health records or precise location.
- We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
4. How we use it

| Keeping records for tax and accounting | Order and invoice records | Legal obligation |
5. Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small text file a site stores in your browser. We also use your browser’s local storage, which works in a similar way. Cookies on this site fall into four groups: strictly essential, analytics, advertising and preferences. Only essential cookies are set before you choose; the others are set after you accept them.
Cookies this site can set
| Name | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
wildcomb.cookieConsent.v1 |
Essential | Stores your cookie choice so the banner does not reappear on every page. | 12 months |
wildcomb.flavorFilter |
Preferences | Remembers the last flavor filter you used on the flavor library. | 12 months |
_ga, _ga_* |
Analytics | Google Analytics: counts visits and distinguishes users in aggregate. | Up to 13 months |
_gcl_au |
Advertising | Google Ads conversion measurement. | 90 days |
_gcl_aw, IDE |
Advertising | Google Ads and Display: attributes clicks and limits repeat impressions. | Up to 13 months |
Third-party cookies listed above are set by Google, not by us. Their exact names and lifetimes are controlled by Google and can change; see Google’s documentation for current details.
Managing cookies
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the button below or the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may mean the banner cannot remember your choice. Browser-level opt-outs are available at aboutads.info/choices and youronlinechoices.com.
6. Google analytics and advertising
If you accept analytics or advertising cookies, this site may use Google Analytics and Google Ads. In that case:
- Google may use cookies to help us understand how visitors use the site and to measure the performance of our advertising.
- Google and its partners may use advertising cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info.
- To opt out of Google Analytics across all sites, install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
We do not combine advertising data with the contents of the messages you send us, and we do not upload customer email addresses to advertising platforms for targeting. If that ever changes, this policy and the consent banner will be updated first.
7. Sharing and processors
We share personal data only in these situations:
- Hosting and email providers that store the site files and deliver our mail.
- Shipping carriers, once you confirm an order and only the address details needed to deliver it.
- Analytics and advertising providers (such as Google), only for visitors who accepted those cookie categories.
- Professional advisers and authorities, where the law requires it or where necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising beyond the cookie-based measurement described above, which you can refuse.
8. How long we keep data
- Emails and messages: up to 24 months so we can follow up on repeat orders, then deleted.
- Order and tax records: up to 7 years, as required by accounting rules.
- Cookie consent records: 12 months, then we ask again.
- Aggregate analytics: up to 14 months, in aggregated form only.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights. To use any of them, email us at wildcombconfections@gmail.com; we reply within 30 days and never charge a fee for a reasonable request.
- Access — a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — fixing data that is wrong or incomplete.
- Deletion — erasing data we no longer need, subject to tax and legal retention.
- Portability — receiving your data in a machine-readable format.
- Objection or restriction — asking us to stop or limit certain processing.
- Withdrawing consent — turning analytics or advertising cookies off at any time.
- Non-discrimination — we will not treat you differently for exercising a privacy right.
California residents: you may request to know, delete or correct personal information, and you may opt out of “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information. Because this site does not track you across third-party sites itself, we do not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, but we honor Global Privacy Control signals where our cookie tooling supports them and honor the choices you make in the banner.
If you believe we have handled your data incorrectly, you can complain to your local data protection authority (in the EU or UK) or to the California Attorney General. We would appreciate the chance to resolve it with you first.
10. Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and our forms ask for an adult’s contact details. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it. Separately, as a product-safety matter: hard candy is a choking hazard for children under four and should not be given to them.
11. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, forms do not transmit to a database of ours, and access to the workshop inbox is limited to the two people who run it with two-factor authentication enabled. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we keep the data we hold deliberately small.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes affecting cookie categories will be accompanied by a fresh consent request.
